Grace Fellowship Church is committed to equipping believers to serve the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12). One of the ways we do this is through our small group discipleship ministry. These small groups meet in homes to study and memorize the Word of God, fellowship, and pray together. Past discipleship groups have studied prayer, principles of bible study (Hermeneutics), the basics of spiritual growth, biblical change, and evangelism.

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.S

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s are groups which meet in homes once a month on the Lord’s Day and are designed to provide biblical discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and shepherding to God’s sheep at Grace Fellowship Church.

The acronym “F.L.O.C.K.” stands for…

Fellowship

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s are a place where we can practice biblical fellowship – that is, practice the “one anothers” of scripture and consider how we can stimulate one another to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Leadership Development

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s provide a place for the members of our congregation to learn to exercise their ministry gifts for the building up of Christ’s body. These groups also provide men pursuing eldership with an opportunity to develop a shepherd’s heart and grow in teaching.

Outreach

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s provide an opportunity for visitors to get to know members of Grace Fellowship Church and be integrated into the ministry of the church. While the focus will be the discipleship of believers, these groups are an appropriate place to invite unbelieving friends to observe the love of Christ and unity in the church as they gather to study God’s Word together.

Caring

GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s facilitate practical opportunities for ministry and caring among believers. Among other things, members of Flocks will pray for one another.

Knowledge

The study of God’s Word will be central in GRACE F.L.O.C.K.s just as it is central in any church which makes disciples. Flocks will study the Bible and memorize scripture together. Our desire is to grow in holiness by longing for and obeying God’s Word (1 Peter 1:15-17; 2:1-3; James 1:19-25; John 17:17).
