Allen was born in Akron, Ohio, and has lived in various other places throughout his life, including New York, Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, Iowa, Tennessee and North Carolina. He and his wife, Loa, were married in 1989 and have one adult daughter, Hannah. God graciously saved Allen in 1995. He and Loa became members of Grace Fellowship Church in 2002, and he was ordained as a deacon at Grace in 2007. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and worked for more than 25 years in the financial services industry. Currently, he volunteers his time overseeing various administrative and practical ministries at Grace; he also serves as the church’s treasurer. Allen’s desire is to employ his gifts in faithfully serving the Lord and His church as a good steward of the manifold grace of God, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:10-11).
