We are reformed in doctrine.

We affirm doctrinal truths at the heart of the Protestant Reformation as summarized by The Five Solas. Our authority is scripture alone, and salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone – all for the glory of God alone. We proclaim The Doctrines of Grace and believe in the perpetuity of the moral law of God as summarized by the Ten Commandments. Since the Bible is our sole authority, we believe that our public worship as a church is limited to and directed by what God commands (the regulative principle of worship) and that true worship is in spirit and truth (John 4:24). The pastors of Grace Fellowship Church are in substantial agreement with the 1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith.

We are baptist in polity.

We believe in regenerate church membership and practice the baptism of believers alone by immersion. Only those who have a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ and have been baptized as believers by immersion are received into church membership. We also believe in the autonomy of the local church – free from any external authority or control. Pastors/Elders are men who meet the scriptural qualifications and are appointed to the office by their local congregations and are entrusted with the spiritual care and oversight of their respective churches under the headship of Christ, the Chief Shepherd. We believe that Deacons are men who meet the scriptural qualifications and are appointed to serve the practical needs of the church.

We are expository in preaching.

The church grows to spiritual maturity through understanding, applying, and obeying the sacred scriptures which are profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.  When we gather together on the Lord’s Day, the scriptures are to be preached and taught, and this is one of the primary responsibilities of pastors. Through proper exegesis of scripture, pastors expose the meaning of the text that it may be applied and obeyed. Through this systematic explanation of God’s inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word, the congregation is built up in the faith and equipped for the work of service.
