Greg Johnson – Elder

Greg is a native of Rocky Mount, NC. He was saved in 1984 at the age of 17. He and his wife, Angela, were married in 1988. In 1989, Greg began pursuing a Master of Divinity at Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, SC. In 1990, God granted Greg and Angela their first child, Kathryn. Kathryn was born with Down’s Syndrome and a severe heart defect. In 1991, at the age of 18 months, Kathryn died. During Greg’s time in seminary, God graciously granted them two more children, Bethany and Luke. In 1996, he graduated with a Master of Divinity, and in August of 1997 he and his family moved to the Charlotte, NC area to plant Grace Fellowship Church. Since that time, God has granted Greg and Angela three more children, Anna, Timothy, and Caroline. The desire of Greg’s heart is to be faithful in the teaching and exposition of the Word of God, the shepherding of the flock of God, and the seeking of the glory of God in God’s church, in his family, and in his life.


Shawn Hill – Elder

Shawn was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, where he received a degree in education. Since that time he has taught in various classroom settings, including public and Christian schools. He and his wife, Shannon, were married in June 2000 and have two sons, Avery and Aaron, and a daughter, Addison. God graciously opened Shawn’s eyes and drew him to faith in Christ in 1992. Shawn was ordained as an elder at Grace Fellowship Church in December 2005. Shawn’s desire is to be a faithful shepherd of the flock of God and to see God glorified in His church.


Devon Grannum – Elder

Devon was born in Guyana, South America, in 1985. After the death of his father in 1992, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1995. He and his wife, Petriece, were married in August 2008 and have three children, Daniel, Paytin and David. God saved Devon in the summer of 2000 through a series of sermons by John MacArthur. Devon moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2010 where he joined Grace Fellowship Church. He was ordained as an elder at Grace in February 2022. Devon’s desire is to see the Kingdom of God built up and His glory declared to the next generation.


Ernest Henderson – Elder

Ernest was born and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. However, his high school years were spent primarily in Arkansas and Louisiana. In 1971, while in high school, he was licensed to preach, and encouraged to attend Bishop College in Dallas, Texas, to prepare for the Gospel Ministry. He and his wife, Andrea, were married in 1976 and have two adult children, Stephen and Leah. In 1982, while pastoring a church plant in the inner city of Detroit, God graciously opened Ernest’s eyes, and granted him saving faith and repentance unto life. After which, God led his family to a church that nurtured him, and in 1986 sent him to the Trinity Ministerial Academy in Montville, New Jersey, for further training. In 2004, he and his family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, and joined Grace Fellowship Church in 2005. After 46 years of gainful employment in the skilled trades and trucking industry, he retired in 2020. Ernest was ordained as an elder at Grace in February 2022. It is his desire to live godly in Christ Jesus, and to help shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood, for His glory alone.


Allen Osborne – Deacon

Allen was born in Akron, Ohio, and has lived in numerous places throughout his life, including New York, Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, Iowa, Tennessee and North Carolina. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and worked for more than 25 years in the financial services industry. He and his wife, Loa, were married in 1989 and have one adult daughter, Hannah. God graciously saved Allen in 1995, and he and Loa became members of Grace Fellowship Church in 2002. Allen was ordained as a deacon at Grace in 2007. In addition to serving as a deacon, he also serves as the church’s administrator and treasurer. Allen’s desire is to employ his gifts in faithfully serving the Lord and His church as a good steward of the manifold grace of God, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 4:10-11).


Gregory Geyer – Deacon

Gregory was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. The Lord was pleased to bring Gregory to Himself in 1981. He and his wife, Breanne, were married in 1997 and moved to the Carolinas in 2009. His adult son, Ian, still lives in Tacoma. Gregory has worked in various roles in the outdoor retail industry and currently owns his own service company. Gregory and Breanne began attending Grace Fellowship Church in the Spring of 2010, and became members that Fall. Gregory was ordained as a deacon at Grace in November 2013. Gregory enjoys good hymnody and treasures the sovereignty and holiness of God and their outworking in the Doctrines of Grace. He gives thanks to God for His sustaining grace and giving him the desire to serve the body at Grace. Gregory eagerly awaits the return of Christ.
